Yesterday, Lady's Express Basketball juniors Mykenzie Dickerson and Mariah Matias and Liliana Parker along with sophomores Kayvonna King and Meya Smith, represented our program at Fassett Elementary for Read for the Record. The girls rotated through multiple classrooms reading to students who were fired up for the visit. Smiles everywhere. Energy everywhere. Leadership in action.
At the same time, junior Abby Valicenti and four other Express athletes traveled to Binghamton with Athletic Director Mr. Mosher and Coach Allen to participate in the 2026 Section IV Student-Athlete Leadership Conference as members of the Elmira High School Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The conference — facilitated by Section IV student-athletes — focused on leadership, accountability, sportsmanship, mental health, and what it truly means to represent your school the right way.
